The Ranger 68 is identical in all respects to the Alpina Discovery back country ski made in the same factory - except for the Ranger's clear fiberglass top sheet, which exposes the natural wood grain of its poplar wood core in a manner reminiscent of the solid wood skis hand-crafted in Norway, 40-plus years ago.
