V2 XL Speed Reducers have revolutionized the sport of roller skiing by providing skiers with the ability to slow down reliably, even on moderate to steep downhills. All V2 speed reducers allow you to choose between the 'off' position and multiple resistance positions, depending on the steepness of the hill, and they are easily engaged or disengaged while skiing by simply crouching down, reaching forward and either moving the lever arm forward or backward. XL Speed Reducers work only on V2 XL-series roller skis. Choose from the following options, depending on which V2 model you have:Size 98 fits XLA98M and XLQ98M skate skis
The ATRXLQ98 is designed for use on the XLQ98 and XLA98. The stainless steel roller arms and machined aluminum lever make it light and strong while nylon rollers and bushings reduce noise. Dual bearings ensure solid contact with the wheels and it works well in both wet and dry conditions. The lever actuated system ensures even pressure distribution and has one neutral and four resistance positions that is easy to engage for increased training resistance or for slowing the skis when negotiating moderate downhill’s. For steep terrain we recommend the use of a brake.

The ATRXLQ900 is designed for use on the XLA900, XLQ900 and XLA800 series of skis. The stainless steel roller arms and machined aluminum lever make it light and strong and the nylon bushings reduce noise. Dual bearings ensure solid contact with the wheels and it works well in both wet and dry conditions. The lever actuated system has one neutral and four resistance positions that is easy to engage whether for increased training resistance or for slowing the skis when approaching moderately steep hills. For steep terrain we recommend the use of a brake
The ATR150XL is designed for use on the XL150S, XL150SC, XL125S and XL125RC. The lever-actuated system has one neutral and four resistance positions when used on the XL150S, XL150SC and XL125RC and on the XL125S it has 1 neutral and 3 resistance positions.
