Skyllermarks Ice Claws (Mojadubben)

Also known as ‘ice picks’ or ‘self-rescue claws’, Ice Claws are the single most important piece of safety gear to carry when you're out on a frozen lake. They help you quickly and easily self-rescue if you find yourself unexpectedly in the water. How to use your Ice Claws? Read the instruction sheet (see photos) and practice with them at least once a year. (No need to chop a hole in the ice - just get down on your stomach on solid ice, and use the Claws to pull yourself across the ice.) If you take an unplanned swim, using your Ice Claws should be an instinctive reaction, not something you ever have to think about.

Mojadubben are the original Swedish-made Ice Claws that we sold by the thousands here at Nordic Skater over nearly two decades. They've been discontinued (replaced by Hansa-Dubben) but we still have a few pairs left. Snag a pair or two before they're gone forever.
